HR Generalist Role is for one of our Top Clients located in the Indianapolis area. This position is temporary, however in this role you will have the opportunity to apply for the direct hire position. As an HR Generalist you MUST have a MINIMUM of 4 years of experience within Human Resources. The HR Generalist that we are looking for: --Serves as an administrative member of the safety committee in charge of record keeping, including but not limited to responsibility for all OS HA and Workers Compensation filing and posting requirements for all locations. --Recruiting responsibilities: Posting open positions internally/externally. Screen resumes, interview best qualified, test as may be required and work with managers to set up interviews. Process paperwork to request hire, conduct background check, and make job offer. Prepare confirming offer letter and new hire paperwork. Conduct new employee orientations and handle related paperwork. --Benefits administration responsibilities include: Retirement plan and 401(k) plan administration to include assisting with annual filing and testing requirements and backing up HR Assistant Director with annual audit and employee service issues. Insurance plan administration including backing up HR Asst. Director for monthly invoice balancing and payment and annual audit. --Ensures compliance with legal requirements: EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, etc. to include assisting with response to complaints from current and former employees. This may require investigation and handling disciplinary follow up. Records retention, including I-9 and new hire reporting Counseling with managers to assure they understand and comply with federal and state laws. Assists Director in all phases of position control and compensation management to include assisting with conducting salary surveys. --Performance Management responsibilities include but are not limited to: Notifying managers when evaluations are due at year end and throughout the year and ensures receipt of all evaluations due. rocesses Personnel Action forms to remove from training and updates HRIS system, or May assist manager in writing developmental plan and prepare Personnel Action form extending probation. --Update HRIS system accordingly. --Assisting Director with annual manager training for preparation of evaluations. --Assisting managers with use of the evaluation tool within the HRIS system. --Prepares support materials for use by the Personnel Committee meeting in February and assists with preparation of Personnel Action forms following that meeting. --Conducts employee and/or manager training as required on a variety of Human Resources related topics. --Serves as a lead person over the HR Assistant/Secretary regarding personnel records, recruiting functions, benefits administration, etc. --Serves as one of the HRIS system administrators, assuring database accuracy and security. --Serves as one of the building security system administrators, issuing security codes/cards and deactivating same when employees leave employment, and also assuring building is locked/unlocked as may be required.
