Express Employment Professionals has an opening for an Technical Inside Support with a manufacturing company on the northwest side of Indianapolis. As an Technical Inside Support - Technical, this individual will be working closely with others to manage some of the company's larger accounts. You would serve as the main point of contact for customer needs. The day to day duties will include answering client calls and emails, entering orders into their system, giving updates on orders, resolving customer issues/concerns, upselling or cross-selling company products, calling previously buying clients to build relationships and gain orders, etc. This person needs a strong technical and/or mechanical understanding because they may be working directly with customers' engineers to discuss blueprints, as well as communicate with internal team members about different products and their capabilities. To be considered for this opening, applicants should have previous Inside Sales experience, along with strong technical and analytical skills. This company manufactures custom parts and products for their clients so individuals should have a technical frame of mind and need to have exposure to reading and understanding blueprints and drawings. This position is all about building customer relationships so applicants should be professional, have strong oral and written communication skills, and be strong problem solvers. The Tehcnical Inside Support position will be working with current buying clients, but will also be responsible for reaching out to past clients to try to gain new orders and build more business. The company does prefer, but it is not required, that applicants have an Associate's Degree in Engineering or some type of technical certification. It is a strong plus if applicants also have experience using a design software such as auto-CAD. They also must be bilingual This is a temp-to-hire opportunity on 1st shift working Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are looking for someone to grow with the company and will start at a pay rate is $13-14/hr. Once hired on, the pay structure will shift to include commission and can make a $40,000 salary or more.
