Internship Program
The Deloitte & Touche LLP internship provides an introduction to AERS Advisory. Throughout the program, participants will focus on issues shaping and affecting the profession today as well as topics related to their own career development. Counseling is another aspect of the Internship Program. At the end of each engagement, interns will have the opportunity to review their performance with management. Additionally, staff will serve as "mentors" to this year's intern group. Mentors serve as a vital source of information and advice as well as participating in many of the social activities planned for the interns throughout the internship.
Cyber Risk Services professionals design and implement solutions to integrate security into the processes to enable business growth and manage reputational risks. Cyber Risk professionals build on foundations in Information Technology and Business to design and implement risk management organizations, processes and systems to address the growing challenges of cyber threats and other information technology risks (e.g. resilience).
Cyber Risk Services is a high growth area in the marketplace and provides long term career growth for professionals.
Professional and Technical Responsibilities
&#xxxx; Develop excellent professional oral and written communication skills in order to establish working relationships with client personnel
&#xxxx; Exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor
&#xxxx; Apply problem solving skills and deliver Deloitte methodology on engagements
&#xxxx; Develop professional skills in various technology risk / security and privacy domains
&#xxxx; Build industry knowledge to understand risk management issues relevant to that particular business
&#xxxx; Build support organization and function by taking advantage of our AERS Advisory learning curriculum of eLearning modules and local and national training programs
&#xxxx; Exercise professional judgment on engagements by providing proactive solutions and recommendations
&#xxxx; Provide recommendations for improved and enhanced business efficiency to clients
&#xxxx; Proactively manage career - set goals and career plans with advisor/career counselor
Qualifications
&#xxxx; Bachelor or Master of Science/Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Decision Sciences or , Risk Management
&#xxxx; Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.2)
&#xxxx; Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
&#xxxx; Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
&#xxxx; Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
&#xxxx; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
&#xxxx; Ability to travel for out-of-town engagements
